Forward-thinking innovation

PolymerPark – advancing with composites

Since the company was founded in the year 2000 by Ulrike Hoesch-Vial and Dr. Sven Hansen, we at PolymerPark have been committed to offering users of traditional materials such as plywood or aluminium a modern, high-quality material alternative and in doing so contribute to their success.
An unreserved, solution-oriented exchange is very important to us. The collaboration with our customers, the high motivation of our team and strong cooperation with partners is the driving force for our current product range – the circular composites for flooring applications and formwork panels (TALLEAS).
As a family-run company, we understand and live the long-term approach to innovation coupled with a constant willingness to change, improve and develop.

Leading in the field of thermoplastic composites

Our strategic goal is to become the technology and market leader for circular thermoplastic composite sandwich products.
Thanks to our expertise, we are already the preferred partner for our OEM customers in the driving industries such as bus/rail, scaffolding, formwork and flooring applications. We offer industry-specific standard panels and customized product developments in cooperation with our customers.
By pooling our expertise together with the GRAF Group along the entire value chain – from plastic waste and its processing to the production of high-quality composites – we perform real upcycling.

2024

PolymerPark goes full circular

Significant investments in expanding technology and capacity to meet market growth.
Commissioning of our new in-house recycling line for composites in collaboration with our shareholder GRAF. Thereby effectively closing the material loop to 100%, and offering our serial customers the return of their PolymerPark products directly to us at the end of their life cycle.

2022

Launch of the new product generations

Launch of the second generation of formwork panels – TALLEAS – with high-performance surfaces and the first formwork with a fully circular design and a full EPD (Environmental Product Declaration).
Series production launch, including certification and homologation, of composite bus floors with considerable success in the rapidly growing zero-emission bus market.

2021

Relocation and expansion

Relocation from Dresden to Herbolzheim and move into the new production facility, and deepening the link with the GRAF Group as an industrial strategic shareholder, with which PolymerPark had formed an ever growing partnership since 2015.

2019

PolymerPark goes Green

Converting its entire core production to post-consumer plastics makes PolymerPark a pioneer in sustainability in composites.

2016

Getting started with formwork

Launch of the first generation of slab formwork in Europe, after PolymerPark had already been successful with plastic formwork in Japan with specialized panels.

2012

First composite with building approval

PolymerPark achieved the first approval of a composite scaffolding deck with DIBT, Germany together with a premium customer from this market. This paved the way for the start of series production, which has produced more than 1,500,000 m² to date.

2010

First composites

In 2010, the company introduced a new production technology that allows for the continuous production of composite panels. As with integral foams, a one-step technology was developed and implemented industrially to ensure maximum efficiency.

2000

Start with integral foam

The starting point in the early 2000´s was the technology for the one-step production of thermoplastic integral foams, which are known as products under the brand name VarioLine® and form the core for the composites based on them.
